Philip LeBoutillier, Jr. Memorial Boathouse · Toledo, Ohio
The Toledo Rowing Foundation owns and operates the boathouse that the city's rowing clubs and high school teams call home.
About the Foundation
Founded in 1984, the Toledo Rowing Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Foundation raised the funds that built the boathouse — and many of the shells inside it — and in 2021 took over its day-to-day management on the Maumee River.
Under that one roof, each member club runs independently: its own board, its own bylaws, its own members — all rowing under US Rowing rules. The Foundation keeps the doors open, the equipment ready, and the community on the water.
Who shares the boathouse
From masters crews to high school teams, the rowing community of greater Toledo trains out of the same boathouse — each program self-governed, all under one roof.
The Foundation's longtime adult and Masters club, rowing competitively and recreationally on the Maumee.
Independent prep programs, each with its own board, bylaws, and coaches, sharing the boathouse and its fleet.
Youth and first-time rowers get their start here, supported by the Foundation's mission since 1984.
